You can’t trust anybody

Not even AI. Truly do your own research.

I was recently looking for something to enable OBS video/audio files to be viewable. What I got from ChatGPT was ‘ok’. The problem was, what it provided was advice which requires applications to be side-loaded.

As an apple user, my first thought was to take its suggestions to the Apple store.

Sadly, the products it suggested did not populate from my search. Instead, there were quite a few products who clearly understood that searching for a competitor was as good as searching for them, as a hundred other – alternative platforms- emerged.

Many of which have stronger features for-the-installl.

To choose what ChatGPT suggested or my own research?… this is the very same question we ask ourselves when a friend makes a suggestion vs. us doing our own research. Either way – the decisions are often the difficult part.
